The client brief emphasised the importance of a slim profile and a form that could fit any contemporary environment as a wall fitting or on the ceiling. UNO explored multiple edge profiles and shadow lines while balancing the proportions of the opaque body casting with the translucent lens. Subtle ratios were refined leading to the desired result.

The lens itself needed to be just the right thickness to optimise the light output without the unsightly appearance of LED hotspots. This was carefully engineered by the UNO team in collaboration with ELS.
